Roger Neill MM '90 Ph.D '94 is thrilled to announce that he will be conducting the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in concert with the iconic French electronica band AIR on Sunday night, September 21! His collaboration with AIR dates back many years, beginning with his orchestral and choral arrangements on their groundbreaking 2001 album 10,000 Hz Legend. This upcoming performance will feature twenty brand-new orchestral arrangements, and it marks their second appearance together at the Hollywood Bowl—21 years after their first orchestral concert there in 2004.For those unfamiliar with the band, AIR is a pioneering French electronic duo known for their lush, cinematic soundscapes that blend vintage analog synths, ambient textures, and French pop sensibilities. Their music evokes a dreamy, retro-futuristic atmosphere—elegant, emotive, and timeless. We look forward to an unforgettable late summer night of music under the stars and hope you can join us!
