Promoting a holistic approach to hiring underrepresented talent, FREE THE WORK utilizes machine learning to generate intelligent discovery, connecting creators with those who hire in the film, television, advertising, and media industries.
The Chief Operating Officer position will provide leadership, management and vision to ensure that FREE THE WORK has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow, ensure financial strength and operational efficiency. The COO will be guided by FREE THE WORK’s objectives, priorities, and intersectional vision for inclusion while creating subscription and fundraising plans, as well as internal organizational protocols.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grow, with input from Founder and Executive Director, a major subscription plan, including identification, cultivation and solicitation of subscribers.

Build and implement a fundraising plan and assist, as required, in raising additional funding.

Serve as support to the Executive Director, including administrative and supervisory matters in the absence of the E.D.

Development and stewardship of new corporate partners and pledged brands.

Develop the subscription plan’s partnerships to increase value for subscribers.

Provide day-to-day leadership and management, working to holistically uphold FREE THE WORK’s mission and core values.

Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives.

Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes, both internal and external. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on operating conditions.

Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies.

Make public appearances and accept speaking engagements in support of the organization’s mission and to meet our public relations strategies.

Collaborate with FREE THE WORK’s management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel, designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.

Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team.

Act as lead "client-care officer" through direct contact with FREE THE WORK Founders and Guardians.

Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

Represent FREE THE WORK to key supporters and stakeholders.
