May 06, 2021 at 1:00pm - 2:30pm

1:00pm PST / 4:00pm EST

The Career Center welcomes you to their Zoom lighting Webinar. When you are interviewing, teaching, giving a presentation or even auditioning for a job via Zoom or any other virtual platform, first impressions are everything.  This means your lighting, background and the colors you are wearing is part of your preparation. Learn from a professional lighting designer how you can create the best setting for these experiences.

There will be an informational portion and an interactive portion.
To get the most out this, it will be helpful if you have some of the following objects on hand:

  • Any lighting you have set up for video conferencing

  • Any extra lamps you have including table lamps, floor lamps, goose neck lamps, clear Christmas lights…

  • Materials you can use to shape the light: aluminum foil, wax paper, diffusion, and binder clips

  • Materials you can use to bounce light: card board, scrap white paper, poster board...
