Profile:
Adam Fratto, originally from upstate New York, is a graduate of Harvard University and USC’s graduate program in Film & TV Production, where he produced the environmentally themed documentary “Walking With Giants,” for which he won a Student Emmy.

Adam began his career in development and production at Mutual Film Company (SPEED, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN), before serving as Creative Executive for Michael Douglas's Furthur Films. There, he helped develop WONDER BOYS, ONE NIGHT AT McCOOL'S, DON'T SAY A WORD, and SWIMFAN.

Adam next worked as Director of Development for Rupert Maconick’s Saville Productions, where he built a feature slate including a remake of the family classic RING OF BRIGHT WATER as well as EDDIE THE EAGLE, a biopic about Britain’s famously awkward skijumper.

In 2002, Adam joined Piller/Segan as Vice President, remaining active in development while also serving as Associate Producer on THE DEAD ZONE and WILDFIRE and Co-Producer on GREEK. He was also Associate Producer of the indie feature BICKFORD SMECKLER’S COOL IDEAS (starring Patrick Fugit, Olivia Wilde and Matthew Lillard).

While at Piller/Segan, Adam developed and sold series pilots to ABC, NBC, TNT, Lifetime, and Spike and worked closely with studios including ABC Studios, NBCU Studios, Fox TV Studios, and Lionsgate.

From 2008 to 2010, Adam served as President of Atticus Entertainment, a production company founded and led by Jim Lampley under a first-look deal with HBO. At Atticus, Adam spearheaded television, feature, and new media development, with a focus on scripted series for broadcast and cable networks. With Atticus, Adam is currently developing projects for HBO and Epix.

Adam is currently co-Executive Producer of HAVEN, a dramatic mystery series based on the “The Colorado Kid” by Stephen King, airing on Syfy in the U.S. and more than 100 cable channels abroad. The show just wrapped up its successful inaugural season and will return in summer 2011 for season 2. He is also a partner in Arena Films 3D, dedicated to producing high-end 3D content for all platforms.

Adam is a member of the TV Academy and the Producer’s Guild of America as well as co-Founder and co-President of Harvardwood, an international association of 4,000+ alums in arts, media and entertainment (harvardwood.org). He lives in South Pasadena with his wife Christina, Associate Dean at Cal State Northridge, and their five year-old daughter, Anna Ming Sha.
