After working through over 100 scripts and 3 rounds of judging, the RESULTS of the 2012 Harvardwood Screenwriting Competition are finally in!

Started in 2006, the Harvardwood Writers' Competition was created to give emerging Harvard writers the opportunity to gain industry exposure and to recognize superior work. The contest includes these three categories:
1) Feature screenplays (90-120 pp., all genres)
2) Television pilots (30-min and 60-min, all genres)
3) One-act plays (40-min maximum, no minimum)
Harvardwood Talent Group (HTG) is a program that provides professional resources, information, and opportunities for Harvard actors. In addition, HTG submits Harvardwood actors for feature films, TV, and Theater. The goal is to help participating actors establish a strong work history and eventually secure talent agency representation.

Harvardwood is proud to announce the winner of Harvard ROCKS 2012....Ms. Madison Greer (Harvard '13)!!! After months of initial review by our panel of industry judges, performance preparation and promotion, and an awesome delivery on Feb. 28th in LA, Madison has certainly earned the coveted ROCKS title! Her prize package includes soundtrack consideration at Fox Music (courtesy of judge Robert Kraft); performance consideration at Live Nation (courtesy of judge Ben Weeden); a vocal recording session with hit songwriter Anne Preven ("Listen" from DREAMGIRLS) and acclaimed vocal producer David "DQ" Quiones of the Writing Camp (Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls), recording the song chosen as the winner's most promising hit; and a brand new track from producers C-Aye Purcell of PrazimProductions (Jodeci, Nate Dogg) and Skye Lewin (CSI: MIAMI. Harvardwood is currently seeking an enthusiastic Co-Chapter Head in Boston! Through fun and engaging events, programs, and more, Harvardwood Chapter Heads work to develop a strong community among local Harvard alumni and students that work and/or are interested in the arts, media, and entertainment. Boston is home to Harvardwood's third largest chapter, and Chapter Heads in this region have the opportunity to work in and around Harvard's campus as well as with members of its dynamic student body.
