Directed by Jack Fletcher, a legendary director of voice, animation, and theater, the cast is led by Broadway/Off-Broadway actor Alex Hurt and Andi Matichak, co-star of the horror sequel Halloween. The event features Molly Wood, host of Marketplace Tech, a national radio program, and co-host of the popular podcast “Make Me Smart with Kai and Molly." Two Harvard alumni are associated with this project. Writer, actor and director, Ben Kawaller (BA), and proud Hasty Pudding Alumnus, whose pilot This Isn't Me was a South by Southwest award winner, is a member of the cast. Nada Djordjevich (Ed.M) wrote the script.

Common Ground is the story of a recently returned army veteran, who, seeking solitude, goes to work at a remote farm in Northern California, where he finds himself entangled with the lives of multiple individuals and clashing with his employer’s daughter, a bold and idealistic college student. Described as “timely and timeless,” with echoes of Steinbeck, the script’s themes touch upon topical issues—in particular the concerns of farmers, farm-to-table restaurants supporting local agriculture, and the challenges of homecoming for military veterans and their families.
