For the 2018 MLK National Day of Service, we're hosting a community blood drive at Cedars-Sinai. Please join us, roll up your sleeve, share your good health and give the gift of life! Blood is traditionally in short supply in winter due to holidays, travel, inclement weather and colds/flu, which is why January has been designated National Blood Donor Month.
Blood donation is a safe and simple procedure that takes a short time. Cedars alone uses nearly 60,000 units of blood per year to save the lives of thousands of patients. There's no substitute for blood so patients are dependent on healthy individuals to donate. Join us and you'll go home with a huge smile, knowing you #Saved2Lives.
As a token of appreciation and in honor of National Blood Donor Month, each donor will receive:
- One movie ticket (AMC or Laemmle) OR Gift Card (Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf or In-N-Out Burger)
- One Cedars-Sinai Blood Donor T-SHIRT!
Prior to your donation, be sure to eat and drink extra water, and remember to bring your photo ID!
