This Spring Harvardwood Music is proud to premiere STORYTELLERS, bringing artists together to share their musical journey through conversation and/or song.  For its inaugural event STORYTELLERS will feature intimate performances from Harvardwood Music artists SARA MELSON and KELLEY NICOLE, and a special conversation with CHESTER FRENCH sensation D.A. WALLACH.

Enjoy great music, conversation, food, drinks, and a beautiful view of Los Angeles from the exclusive Foundation Room!

D.A. Wallach is best known as one-half of CHESTER FRENCH, a critically-acclaimed duo signed by Pharrell Williams to Interscope Records. An '07 graduate of Harvard College, D.A. has been featured in GQ, Rolling Stone, Vogue, and countless other publications, and has performed on the Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel shows. He has toured with Lady Gaga, Blink 182, and Weezer and has written and performed on recordings with Diddy, Common, Rick Ross, Janelle Monae, Asher Roth, Akon, and others. Apart from recording and touring, D.A. is a recognized social media pioneer, having been the first artist to ever use facebook and among the most followed artists on twitter (@dachesterfrench). He advises and invests in several technology companies and curates a popular blog,, that covers a wide range of political, philosophical, scientific, and artistic topics.

Sara Melson lives somewhere between rock, pop, and folk, with timeless songs that blur boundaries between the genres.  Sara’s insightful lyrics, confident piano and guitar playing, and unique, distinctive voice led Yahoo Music to call her "one of the most fearless singer-songwriters on the planet.” Her self-produced debut full-length, Dirty Mind, came out in the spring of 2008 on Nettwerk Records. The record was selected for a feature on iTunes, and placed high on the iTunes pop chart. Sara was featured on the Myspace Music homepage, and chose her as their "New Buzz Artist” while featuring her video in their Who's Next/User's Choice promotion.  Her songs have been featured in numerous film & TV shows including GREY'S ANATOMY, and as the theme of a new Chevy campaign.  Sara has shared the stage with Ben Folds, Juliana Hatfield, Ben Lee, the Silversun Pickups, Jill Sobule, Inara George, Mojave 3, Neil Halstead, Marc Broussard, and the BRMC, among others, and performed as guest vocalist with both Mojave 3 and the Dandy Warhols on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic.  She also recently sang backing vocals for Moby on THE TONIGHT SHOW with Jay Leno!  She’s currently in the studio recording her next record.

Citing the dynamic performing and songwriting influences of Alicia Keys, India.Arie, Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Erykah Badu, just to name a few, you’ll find Kelley Nicole at the charming intersection of a spunky funky attitude and an alluring R&B acoustic vulnerability.  Formerly one of the lead vocalists for the critically-acclaimed Afro-funk band, Soulfège, (nominated for multiple Boston Music Awards, Independent Music Awards, and Boston Urban Music Awards, as well as a featured performer at the NACA National Convention), she has performed around the world, from Europe to Africa and in venues across the United States.  She has also been blessed to share the stage with such renowned artists as Bobby McFerrin and El Debarge.  In a vein similar to great front women before her, a la Lauren Hill and Gwen Stefani, Kelley Nicole has come into her own, using her unique musical talent to impart lessons of love, empowerment, and divine transcendence over all circumstance as she learns them, one by one.  Be sure to pick up her first solo release, "Introducing...THE Kelley Nicole" at her website
