In this private Harvardwood dinner at midtown's Fogo de Chao, attendees will explore the wines of family-owned Brazilian winery Vinicola Salton and hear from a special guest, wine importer Wagner Alberti!

Cost: $60 per person complete (special Fogo de Chao dinner with 5 carefully chosen wines, including tax and gratuity) for dues-paying Harvardwood members and their guests // $85 per person for all others. Early registration is strongly recommended—seats are limited at this special dinner, and the event WILL sell out!  THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT!

fachada-salton.jpegFogo de Chao is a superb Brazilian churrascaria, and the dinner will include antipasti, an extraordinary salad bar (filled with much more than what we ordinarily think of as salad!), Brazilian "barbecue", and dessert, coffee and tea, served family style.

Each course will be paired with a Brazilian wine by Vinicola Salton, for a total of five wines: a brut sparkling wine, a Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier, a Marselan, a Merlot, and a Moscato.

In Latin America, only Argentina and Chile produce more wine than Brazil.  Most of this wine is of local interest only, but there is a small group of producers dedicated to making high-quality wines. These wines are made mostly in the cooler southern province of Rio Grande do Sul, and one of the finest of these producers is Vinicola Salton. Founded in 1910 by three immigrant brothers from Italy, Salton remains family-owned even today!

barricas-2.jpegWe will be joined at this dinner by a special guest, Wagner Alberti, who imports Salton's wines into the United States and who has worked tirelessly for many years to raise awareness of the fine wines of Brazil throughout the world.  We will do lots of talking about the wines.

This dinner is an extraordinary bargain, thanks to Wagner Alberti and Salton, and to Fogo de Chao, who have worked together to make this dinner available at a price that is less than half of what one would expect to pay for any wine dinner even remotely comparable to this one.

We strongly recommend early registration for what will be a joyous and delicious evening!

If you register for more than one person, do double check that you got the correct number of registrations—if, as we expect, we do sell out, it won't be possible for us to add people at the last minute!
