    Senior Editor - Remote

    Company: Admissionado
    Location: Remote
    Start Date: 11/15/2020
    Type of Position: Full-Time
    Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
    Minimum Years of Experience: Entry-level

Job Description: BEST. EDITING. JOB. EVER.

By day, Admissionado is an admissions consulting company founded by two Brown University grads (one ended up going to Harvard Business School, the other to USC Film School). By night, we save cats from trees and foil rebel plots. Fifty percent of these statements are 100% true.

We are scouring the earth for wildly intelligent, self-motivated, fiercely talented editors. Not just any editor. The Michael Phelps of diagnosing logic weaknesses. The Serena Williams of delivering incisive, actionable feedback. The Muhummad Ali of... overall awesomeness. The job goes way beyond correcting grammar and fixing run-ons. Our process is one of story development: not just diagnosing weaknesses, but helping clients introspect and identify smart, creative, and intuitive pathways to communicate ideas more effectively.

We love our work and take a lethal amount of pride in it. If you're an artist at heart, and you like fixing stuff, AND you've got mad skills with the red pen, welcome home.

Expect to commit roughly 35 hours/week through January 2021. The work is remote, and always has been (since the company was founded, more than a decade ago). And compared to a position in a cubical farm, your schedule here is flexible (no fixed office hours): you can edit in a coffee shop, on your patio, on a plane, or in a coffee shop on a plane if that\'s how you roll.

By the way, there’s potential for this role to develop into a year-round position. We\'re too damn popular, we keep growing, and new positions are created often

Lean on Us: a Harvardwood Tribute to the Classes of 2020-2024

This year, as the pandemic ground on and fractured life as we know it, many of us fondly remembered our college experience and felt terrible for the undergrads whose experience is being disrupted. But what could we do?

We have many musicians in our Harvardwood community - some professional, some avocational. Cooped up at home and frustrated at not being able to play with others in person, we came up with the idea to put together a virtual band to record a message to let students know we are thinking about them.

This was a labor of love, and both a logistical and technical challenge, from finding musicians to arranging the music, to ensuring that the tracks were in sync, to mixing and editing both audio and video. It was a fun process, and we hope you enjoy the result!
