Join the Harvardwood Board of Directors

The Harvardwood Board of Directors (BOD) is coming up on elections for its next term and we are looking for some energetic individuals to fill a few great positions!  The Harvardwood BOD is the managing body that oversees the volunteer efforts of Harvardwood members worldwide and has worked to create an impressive array of events, programs, and online resources over the past decade.  As a member of this dynamic team you will play a large role in determining the priorities and setting the course for the entire organization.    

Below is a list of Board positions we are looking to fill.  Each Harvardwood Board member holds office for a period of two years, until his or her successor is elected and qualifies.  Board members should have a strong interest in fostering career education and networking among Harvard University alumni and students and has completed a degree program at Harvard University.  Board members must be of the age of majority in CA, and should be able to attend quarterly board meetings in the Los Angeles area (Board members in other locations can participate via conference call).

Harvardwood Board of Director open positions:

1) Associate Director, Harvardwood Talent Group

The Associate Director of HTG will assist the Director in providing professional resources, information, and opportunities for Harvard actors.  HTG submits Harvardwood actors for feature films, TV, and Theater with the goal of helping participating actors establish a strong work history and eventually secure talent agency representation.  The Associate Director will become well versed in the casting process and will help maintain accurate administrative and financial records for HTG.

2) Director of Institutional Advancement

The Director of Institutional Advancement will aid the Executive Director of Harvardwood and the rest of the Board in helping to ensure the longevity of Harvardwood and its resources.  Duties will mainly focus on but are not limited to the ongoing development of fundraising and sponsorship strategy as well as the execution and analysis of all fundraising efforts.  This position is hands on and perfect for anyone interested in fundraising, securing sponsorships, and other development activities.
