Please check out this segment which aired this week featuring my
hometown of Hacienda Heights and my school district. I never would have
thought that serving on the school board would get me on The Daily
Show, but I guess I have the Chinese language and the angry Tea Party to
thank for that. Enjoy and please pass it along! And yes, that lady is
completely serious.
Song written and sung by Sharen Wendy Robertson. It is my second mother's tribute video for my son, Carmelo Cacciatore, Jr., who died August 7, 2008 when he lost control of the car he was driving and hit a tree. He was 20 years old and the youngest of my four children. Losing a child is a life-altering event unlike any other. My newly released CD of songs dedicated to my late is available on ITunes @ http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/sharen-wendy-robertson/id359501121
Domestic violence happens to people from all walks of life. It wears you down and scares you into staying. But you can get free.....even if it takes a lifetime (like it did with me).....you can be free. It's not easy, but if I can do it..............I will tell you that the peace I have in my life now is the greatest gift I could have given myself. My youngest child, Carmelo Cacciatore, Jr. , died in a car accident in 2008. He was 20 years old and the youngest of my four children. Since the accident, it has been impossible for me to carry all these experiences inside of me. I can't walk in the light with my late son, and carry all this. I need to speak my truth. I also have songs I wrote for my late son on my website, www.sharenwendy.com
