HARVARD COLLEGE
Sanyee Yuan '12, has loved acting and performing since she did her one-person re-enactment of "The Parent Trap" at eight years old. Also a fervent Nickelodeon viewer back then, she attempted to imitate all of Amanda Bynes's sketches on the comedy sketch show "All That" and wrote her own storylines for the show, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
Many years and a couple of high school musicals later, she still loves performing and hopes to work in the media field as an entertainment news correspondent.
The summer after her freshman year, Sanyee interned at the CBS 5 affiliate news station in San Francisco, the first television station to go on the air in Northern California, and worked in the hands-on Department of Public Relations / Communications in the buzzing newsroom. Also having volunteered at the San Francisco / Bay Area Chapter of Harvardwood that summer, she enjoyed getting exposed to the expansive and far-reaching Harvard alumni media network, meeting the other enthusiastic Harvardwood members, and organizing and attending events, like the tour of the ever-popular Pixar Animations Studio.
On campus, Sanyee is a proud resident of the lovely Eliot House and a Peer Advising Fellow for incoming freshmen. Due to her penchant for event-planning, she has lent her input and efforts to the Class of 2012 First-Year Social Committee and coordinated social, cultural, and educational events for the Chinese Students Association and the Taiwanese Cultural Society. Additionally, she likes serving as a representative on the Undergraduate Admissions Council and encouraging pre-frosh to attend Harvard, and has traveled around the Bay Area to make presentations to middle and high school students for the Harvard Undergraduate Minority Recruitment Program.
Excited about the recent launch of the Harvard Undergraduate Television Network, Sanyee will continue helping out with different shows on campus. As the new Executive Producer of the campus reality dating show, "Love@Harvard," she hopes to improve the dating scene for all undergraduates. As a contributing writer and the Marketing & Public Relations Director for the comedy campus soap opera, "Ivory Tower," she looks forward to keep entertaining loyal fans while increasing the fan base.
Looking to combine her love of storytelling and social interaction, Sanyee is currently considering a concentration in Folklore & Mythology with a secondary field in Sociology. Her dream job is one that enables her to travel around the world, constantly meet new people, work irregular hours, share endless stories, write for fun, and do an incredible amount of talking.
She would love to work for MTV News, host reality shows, and someday host her own talk show. And as an avid reader of chick lit, she wants to write contemporary fiction on the side.
Madeleine Bennett '11 is pursuing a degree in English with a secondary in Dramatic Arts and expects to graduate with honors in June 2011.

She is still writing script coverage for both Tobey and Eric. She has also worked at THE FILM DEPARTMENT as a Production Intern under Mark Gil.
On campus, she is currently President of the Harvardwood Undergraduate Student Association and Vice President of the Harvard University Television Network. She has worked as an Arts and Media Intern at the Harvard Office of Career Services and as a research assistant in the English department to Professor Elisa New, Larry Summer's wife.
In her free time, she has appeared in six productions with the Harvard Radcliffe Dramatic Club, sung with the Harvard LowKeys and taken creative writing courses.
Ansley Rubinstein '10 is foremost a dancer and actress, however her passion for entertainment extends to all aspects of the performing and visual arts including filmmaking, photography, and writing. Growing up in Los Angeles, Ansley studied dance with the Jazz Tap Caravan, Paul Kennedy's Universal Dance Design, and the Yuri Grigoriev School of Russian Ballet, traveling and performing throughout Los Angeles as well as in Cuba at the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Ballet. Since entering Harvard, she has continued to pursue dance and is now captain of the Harvard Crimson Dance Team, which competes nationally in Daytona, Florida, every spring. Also at Harvard, Ansley has acted in a number of HRDC productions, both in the Experiment Theatre and on the ART Mainstage. She also established and runs the Harvardwood Undergraduate Student Organization (HUSO), which is Harvardwood's undergraduate counterpart and brings together undergrads interested in the entertainment industry.
Ansley is concentrating in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with a focus on the Arabic language and modern Middle Eastern literature. She is an avid traveler, having spent summers in Jordan, Egypt, Peru, Scotland, and most recently Sydney, Australia, writing for Let's Go Australia 2009, a budget travel guide published worldwide. Ansley hopes to pursue a career in entertainment after graduation, either back in Los Angeles or abroad.
