HARVARDWOOD HIGHLIGHTS SUBMISSIONS

Please share your good news with the Harvardwood family!  News items to submit include:

*Industry successes (e.g. new jobs, films, books, theater productions, performances)

*Professional awards and honors (e.g. film & theater festivals, awards/distinctions)

*Production updates (e.g. beginning/wrapping production, greenlit projects)

*Press or media coverage (e.g. mentions in articles, interviews)

*Other noteworthy news relating to your career

*Personal milestones (e.g. engagements, weddings, births)

*Harvardwood testimonials (Found a job through Harvardwood?  An apartment?  An agent?)  Tell us in a few sentences and get a FREE month of full membership!

All submissions must be from or on behalf of FULL MEMBERS only (except for testimonials) - member status will be verified before items are accepted.  Email items to highlights@harvardwood.org, and be sure to include HARVARDWOOD HIGHLIGHTS SUBMISSION in the subject header, NAME, HARVARD SCHOOL and CLASS YEAR (optional).  Please submit blurb in the body of the email itself exactly as you'd like it to appear in the newsletter.  An ideal Highlights Submission is about 50-75 words, but no more than 100 words in length.  You can view a few sample Highlights below.   

Harvardwood Highlights accepts submissions on a rolling basis and is published on or around the 1st of each month.

SAMPLE HIGHLIGHTS

Liz Ryan was elected Chair of the AD/UPM Council of the Directors Guild of America, Wednesday night, June 2, in Los Angeles.  In this capacity, she will represent roughly 5,000 members of the Guild who work below-the-line. Having worked as a Director, Producer and Assistant Director, Ryan's credits include over 70 feature films and television shows.

Nick Weiss '00 has been hired as supervising producer on season 2 of MTV's The Buried Life.  The show is about 4 guys who travel the country crossing items off their bucket list and helping strangers do the same.  New episodes air starting in September.  

Mia Riverton guest starred opposite Simon Baker and Robin Tunney on the April 22 episode of THE MENTALIST.  She will be guest starring on the new Bruckheimer series MIAMI MEDICAL on Fri. May 14 at 10 pm on CBS.  She plays a supporting role in director Andrew Paquin's ('00) feature film OPEN HOUSE with Anna Paquin, which is currently playing at the Tribeca Film Festival.  She also shot a lead role in upcoming comedy feature KNOTS and can currently be seen online in award-winning webseries EASY TO ASSEMBLE, created by Illeana Douglas:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYbBxEvnDqY
